Celebrating Progress and Looking Ahead: High Residential’s Annual State of the Union
On March 31, High Residential brought together more than 80 team members from across its communities for its annual State of the Union. The day offered a valuable opportunity to connect, reflect on the year behind us, and look ahead to what’s next.
Throughout the morning, teams heard updates on the strong performance achieved across the portfolio. Highlights included positive results in financial performance, operations, and safety. These accomplishments are a direct reflection of the care, dedication, and teamwork shown across every community.
The event also provided an opportunity to share meaningful updates that support the people behind that success. This included an enhanced compensation alignment for maintenance team members, recognizing the essential role they play in keeping communities running at their best each day. Attendees also learned about the ongoing refresh of all property websites, which will improve the experience for both current and prospective residents.
Looking ahead, Brad Mowbray, Senior Vice President of Residential, and Tina McGinnis, Vice President of Property Management, shared an exciting vision for continued growth and innovation. Upcoming initiatives include the implementation of Connexus, a centralized, AI-powered procurement platform designed specifically for real estate portfolios. This technology will help streamline processes, improve visibility into vendor partnerships, and support more efficient operations. Plans were also introduced for a new 297-unit apartment community in Collegeville, further expanding High Residential’s presence and commitment to delivering quality living environments.
In addition to new residential developments, the team highlighted Brandt’s Run, High Real Estate Group’s newest mixed-use projects currently in development. As planning progresses, the project reflects the continued evolution of High’s approach to community building, with a vision to blend residential, commercial, and lifestyle elements into a vibrant, connected destination.
Another meaningful area of future growth shared was Lancaster Housing Works, a newly formed 501(c)(3) organization focused on expanding affordable workforce housing within our communities. With its first acquisition already closed, this initiative reflects High’s deep commitment to addressing housing needs and creating opportunities for more individuals and families to find quality, attainable places to live.
High Residential’s people-first culture was an important theme throughout the day. The Human Resources team highlighted employee benefits and shared upcoming programs focused on well-being, engagement, and professional development. These efforts reflect a continued investment in the individuals who make High Residential’s communities what they are.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to recognition. Team members and communities were celebrated for their outstanding achievements and contributions over the past year. From delivering exceptional resident experiences to driving operational excellence, these individuals and teams embody the values that guide High Residential every day. Their passion and commitment continue to make a meaningful impact across the portfolio.
The event concluded on a fun and memorable note, with a comedian and magician bringing energy and laughter to close out the day. It was a fitting end to a gathering that balanced reflection, celebration, and inspiration.
Building Communities, Guided by Purpose

This work is guided by the High Philosophy, which emphasizes building strong relationships, valuing customers, respecting coworkers and their families, and recognizing the contributions of every individual. It also reflects a spirit of innovation and a commitment to quality, ensuring that each project and initiative is done right the first time.
