Nevin D. Cooley, President and Chief Executive Officer of High Real Estate Group LLC, leads a regionally-recognized, full-service real estate, hotel, architecture, and construction firm with offices and managed assets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.
Under Mr. Cooley’s guidance, High Real Estate Group’s team of more than 600 professionals currently manages a portfolio of more than 2,100 apartment units, 12 hotels, and more than 6 million square feet of industrial and commercial properties; annually serves as general contractor of more than $70 million in construction sales; and handles in excess of $100 million in brokerage and leasing transactions.
Mr. Cooley began his career in real estate in 1986 as the Vice President - Development and Acquisitions for High Associates Ltd. and in 1989 became Vice President - Commercial Asset Management. In 1991, Mr. Cooley was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Chairman and President of High Industries Inc., the parent company of which High Associates was a division. He continued to serve on the Advisory Board of High Associates and earned his Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1992. In 1995, Mr. Cooley was named the High Industries Senior Vice President and President - High Real Estate Group with responsibility for High Associates, High Construction Company, Greenfield Architects Ltd., High Hotels Ltd., and High Investors Ltd., as well as the numerous partnerships in which the High Family holds real estate assets. In 2006, Mr. Cooley was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of High Real Estate Group. Mr. Cooley’s responsibilities also include serving on the Executive Committee of the High® companies, which now comprises High Industries and High Real Estate Group.
Mr. Cooley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Maryland and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. He is active in business and community activities through his leadership roles in various associations and organizations. Past Board service includes The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lancaster General Medical Group, Lancaster General Hospital, United Way of Lancaster County, Lancaster-York Heritage Region, and the Pennsylvania Dutch Council Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Cooley currently serves on several boards including Economic Development Company of Lancaster County, Elizabethtown College, The Lancaster Alliance, and Hospice of Lancaster County.
